The hourly rate for mentorship is $150 USD for non-students pricing and $125 for student pricing. Intake paperwork will also be required as part of this process.

The COPE Center is excited to offer a comprehensive 20-hour group mentorship program designed for aspiring mental performance consultants. Led by Dr. Erdner, The CEO & Founder of The COPE Center, this 10-month long mentorship provides a structured, collaborative, and research-informed space for developing the skills needed to psychologically support clients across diverse contexts as they navigate their respective performance domains while also being prepared to work with injury and/or illness when/if it happens for your clients. To be eligible, you need to currently be working with mental performance client(s) in either a sport or non-sport-related domain.

Note: For those interested in becoming a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), as an AASP-approved CMPC mentor, Dr. Erdner will be able to sign off on these hours to suffice for group mentorship.

What to Expect:

Over the course of 10, two-hour sessions, participants will engage in a dynamic mix of instruction, group dialogue, confidential case discussions, and guided skill-building. Dr. Erdner draws on extensive applied experience and evidence-based research to deepen participants’ knowledge and practical abilities. Topics will include, but are not limited to:

  • How to conceptualize a client’s case using proper theories and models specifics to non-injured an injured-ill clients

  • Creating an assessment plan to determine the client’s psychological needs as they navigate non-injured or injury-illness.

  • Discuss evidence-based interventions to help clients navigate the psychological terrain of performance and injury-illness.

  • Understand how to implement ethical-decision making when working with an interdisciplinary team.

  • Resources in a two-fold format:

    • Content that Dr. Erdner has used with clientele across her tenure working as a CMPC.

    • Content Library to support your efforts in implementing the psychology of injury and rehabilitation with your clients, which includes:

      • Psychology of Injury & Rehabilitation, Assessmentsa total of 28 assessments ranging from rehabilitation adherence to sport injury anxiety and return-to-sport readiness, and many concepts in between!

      • Psychology of Injury & Rehabilitation, Peer-Reviewed Articles: ranging from DEI in Injury articles to specific articles pertaining to performance psychology in injury.

      • Psychology of Sport Injury, Interdisciplinary Team Resources: Information on how to navigate a relationship, following appropriate HIPAA guidelines, when working with medical professionals such as the client's primary medical team and/or their mental health therapist

    • Participants: Limited to 10 to people

    • Total Hours: 20 (10 sessions, 2 hours each)

    • Format: Virtual, live meetings via Zoom

Pricing:

  • $1,250 USD per person for all 10 sessions, which includes taxes and processing fees.
